Last night, Ron, Ken, Lynn and Stefan gave an outstanding interpretive program about the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl, and FDR's Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The program began a little after 7 pm at the Arbuckle Historical Society here in Sulphur. It was well attended by historical society members, family members of the Park Rangers, and even a former member of the local CCC group here in Sulphur! One family brought two CCC company's group photo that were shared after the park rangers' presentation. What was neat, was that the historical society's president Mr. Roland Earsom asked if anyone had questions or wanted to share anything. A number of the guests (who were young children during the Great Depression) remember what it was like to live at that time, some of there right here in Sulphur or Murray County.

It was a wonderful event!
