Noelle Freeman was crowned Miss California 2011

Road to Miss America 2012

Noelle Freeman, a 21-year-old Chapman University alumna, was crowned Miss California 2011 on Saturday, June 25 of the 86th Miss California annual pageant held at the William Saroyan Theatre in downtown Fresno. Noelle Freeman will represent California in Miss America 2012.

Noelle graduated from Chapman in May with a degree in communications and a minor in dance. Freeman bested 59 other contestants in the pageant — including six other Chapman students. Four of the pageant’s top 12 were current Chapman students.

Freeman, who performed a “Black Swan” dance variation for her talent offering, received a $10,000 scholarship from the Miss California pageant. She also advances to the Miss America pageant, to be held in January in Las Vegas. There, she will compete against 49 other state representatives for the title of Miss America 2012.
